Do you stain the paper by painting the tea on or do you pour it? Your backgrounds are all so fascinating and work nicely with the image in the foreground. Great job as always.

I tea stain the paper by putting the paper in a large bin and pouring tea in it. I also throw in some plastic bags for texture and salt sometimes too.

Burning clockwork women in a malteaser milkshake...

I like this a lot - it's simple, stylised, and the colour scheme is one I could easily see on my wall, but unfortunately the face lets it down for me. The expression is charming, but for some reason she looks to me as if she has an Einsteinian mustache!

haha! I see what you mean. The face was muddled between the bleach and the gouache and I was just impatient. I may retouch it.
